Age is nothing but a number when it comes to money.
A 79-year-old woman was arrested Sunday morning after Mobile police say she shot her nephew in the foot over an argument about $20.
Around 9:30 a.m. officers responded to the 400 block of Gaston Street for a report of one person shot. The victim stated the suspect, his 79-year-old great aunt Ira Peterson, shot him once in the foot following an argument over money, according to Mobile Police Department spokesman Terence Perkins.
Perkins said Peterson and her nephew live together, and Peterson accused the victim of stealing $20.
Peterson faces a second degree domestic violence charge.
