The Queen B, Beyonce may have just landed herself back on the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin's bad list.
After this past Sunday's Grammy Ceremony Beyonce earned herself another 3 Grammys bringing her total to 20, and apparently this didn't sit to well with Auntie Re.
"She is fuming that Beyonce has passed her Grammy total" a source close to Franklin told said. "She was already annoyed that Beyonce was trailing on her heels and Sunday just added more fuel to the fire."
Beyonce was already the most-nominated female in GRAMMY history—and entering the evening, the R&B star was one behind Aretha Franklin for most GRAMMY awards by a female, with 17 to Franklin’s 18. Early in the evening, she equaled Franklin’s count by scoring a win for Best Surround Sound Album for her self-titled 2013 album.
Then, she finally got the lucky No. 19, winning for Best R&B Song with “Drunk in Love.” and then hit 20 with Best R&B performance for the same song.
This isn't the first time Beyonce and Aretha have been at odds over Grammys and titles. Franklin had words for Beyonce back in 2008 after she called Tina Turner "The Queen" during a tribute to Turner at the 2008 Grammys. Aretha also took digs at Beyonce after finding out she lipped the National Anthem at President Barack Obama's Inaguration back in 2013.
"When I heard the news this evening that she was pre-recorded I really laughed," Franklin told ABC News. "I thought it was funny because the weather down there was about 46 or 44 degrees and for most singers that is just not good singing weather. When I heard that I just really cracked up. I thought it was really funny, but she did a beautiful job with the pre-record ... next time I'll probably do the same."
With Aretha out the way, Beyoncé must set her sights on Alison Krauss, who leads all women at the GRAMMYs with 27 awards.
