Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will undergo surgery after an MRI revealed a medial meniscus tear in his right knee, the team announced.
No timeline has been determined for Rose's recovery from the procedure, which has yet to be scheduled.
Rose also required surgery to repair a torn medial meniscus in the same knee in Nov. 2013 and missed the remainder of the 2013-14 season while recovering. Prior to that operation, he had surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, causing him to miss the 2012-13 season.
Rose has averaged 18.4 points and 5.0 assists in 46 games.
