Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are continuing the family business of reality TV! According to reports the couple has inked a deal and has been quietly filming a spinoff about their blended family drama called ‘Meet The Tuckers‘!
Married life has not been easy for Kandi and Todd from Mama drama, to combining a household with their two teenaged daughters while also trying to build a production business as a couple. The couple has also dealt with the sudden passing of Todd’s mother Sharon. All of the mishaps, mayhem, and family planning has been featured on Real Housewives Of Atlanta cameras and the couple’s previous wedding spinoff Kandi’s Wedding.
Kandi has seemed over the drama on RHOA this season and she hasn’t really engaged with co-stars instead focusing on her own family, including counseling with Todd, probably because her spinoff deal was in the works all along!
Kandi and Todd have been arguing about finances, relationship priorities, Mama Joyce, and trying for a baby, but StraightFromTheA reveals that it’s all part of their master plan to score a spinoff with Bravo! And it worked.
The couple’s amped up family drama enticed the network enough to offer them a show. We here at Reality Tea suspected much of their marital strife was amplified – Kandi wondering if Todd was cheating with a African prince? – because during a recent appearance on Steve Harvey the couple seemed content and said their relationship is great!
Regardless of how real Kandi and Todd’s drama is, Mama Joyce is very real and reportedly so is their spinoff! Tentatively titled ‘Meet The Tuckers,‘ they are filming now (and have been for the past few weeks). Kandi shared a headshot of her interview session on instagram, plus Kandi and Todd just took a family vacation which I imagine was also filmed.
Mama Joyce, Kandi’s daughter Riley, Todd’s daughter Kaela, plus Kandi’s extended family (including the crazy aunts, The Old Lady Gang) are all part of the show. Bravo has already picked up 3 episodes which will air on Sunday nights this summer, and if the ratings are successful, will expand for a full season.
