A Florida man faces a charge of extortion for allegedly trying to blackmail a "prominent New Orleans attorney" after a reported sexual encounter.
Terrill Lewis, 25, is being held in the Orange County, Fla., jail on the extortion count and for outstanding warrants.
Investigators arrested Lewis after they were contacted by the unidentified victim. The man told authorities he was being blackmailed by Lewis, who allegedly had images or videos of a sexual encounter between the two. That incident reportedly took place in California last month.
The arrest and the circumstances leading to it were published by the Orlando Sentinel newspaper and television station WFTV, which reported that Lewis advertised "escort" services on an erotic website.
Booking records show Lewis, of Titusville, Fla., faces a second-degree felony charge in connection with the case.
