And the internet agrees with us.  In a Twitter post from earlier this week (March 22) Peta suggested that if you see an Oppossum playing dead it may be a mother carrying babies that needs to be saved.  

If you encounter an opossum who appears dead—and it’s safe to do so—checking inside her pouch for offspring could save a life or even a few lives! A baby opossum can be as tiny as a fingernail or up to several inches long.

We're not buying it Peta.  Neither was most of twitter.
