Teen Won't Face Jail Time For Throwing Newborn Out of A Window

OMAHA, Neb. - Antonia Lopez, a Nebraska teen who admitted to throwing her newborn baby out the window, won't be serving any jail time, the Omaha World-Herald reports.

On Friday, Douglas County Juvenile Court Judge Christopher Kelly ordered Lopez to be placed on probation, live in a group home, take part in individual and family therapy, delete her Facebook account and perform 50 hours of community service, according to the World-Herald.


15 Year Old Charged With Attempted Murder Over A Pair Of Air Jordans

A 15-year-old Northside Jacksonville boy is being charged as an adult in a shooting over a pair of Michael Jordan sneakers.

A judge certified Antiono Maurice Boykin as an adult this week on charges of attempted murder and shooting deadly missiles, according to jail and arrest records. He is in jail on $1 million bail.

Man Wrongfully Imprisoned For 40 Years Sues Police Who Framed Him

A man who spent nearly 40 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit has sued the Cleveland police officers whom he says framed him in 1975.

With 39 years served, Ricky Jackson, 58, is believed to have served the longest prison sentence in U.S. history for someone wrongfully convicted.

He initially was sentenced to death as an 18-year-old for the slaying of a businessman outside a corner store in Cleveland. It later became a life sentence.


Woman Claims Chicago Cop Punched Her In The Stomach While 8 Months Pregnant

Nicola Robinson has accused a Chicago police officer of punching her in the stomach when she was eight months pregnant, sending her into premature labor.

The incident started Friday night when Robinson and her kids were outside and saw three officers chasing down a drug dealer. She laughed when they were unable to catch him, and that is apparently what set the officer off.

“As I got ready to walk in my building he punched me on my right side as hard as he can,” she told Fox 32.


Florida Man Robs Home, Then Falls Asleep On the Couch

Apparently robbing a home can be a tiring job.

A Sarasota man has been charged with felony burglary of an occupied dwelling after breaking into a home and falling asleep on the couch over the weekend.

Sarasota Police Officers responded to the 3400 block of Tallywood Lane in Sarasota at approximately 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 16. The victim told Officers she woke up around 7:20 a.m. and found 29-year-old Timothy Bontrage sleeping on her living room couch.

When the victim asked Brontrage who he was and what he was doing in her house, he apologized.

Trail Of Macaroni Salad Leads Police Straight To Robbery Suspects

A trail of macaroni salad led police investigators in St. Morris, New York to three suspected burglars on Sunday.

Deputies of the Sheriff's Office responded to a burglary at Build-A-Burger Restaurant in Mt. Morris at 6:30 a.m., after the owners reported their surveillance system and cash register were missing.

The investigation led police to the Greenway Trail, a hiking and biking path, where they found cash register parts, surveillance system parts, rubber gloves, loose change and "a steady trail of macaroni salad," according to a news release issued by the office.
